New Advisory Board Powertrain and Energy Management starts working
The Advisory Board Powertrain and Energy Management of the VDI Association Vehicle and Traffic-Engineering holds the first meeting on August, 9th, 2017. The Advisory Board which consists of experts from different work and research areas working in the field of powertrain and energy management starts their activities in turbulent times specially for Diesel engines.
Dr.-Ing. Ralf Marquard will take the chair of the Advisory Board Powertrain and Energy Management beginning January 1st, 2018. Since his studies and doctorade at the Technical University (RWTH) Aachen Dr.-Ing. Marquard is steadily engaged in the field of research and development of combustion engines and vehicle technology. More than 10 years he was responsable for the research and development of MAN Diesel SE and Deutz AG. More than 20 years Dr. Marquard held different management positions in well known engineering companies like AVL in Graz, Austria and finally he was Executive Vice President of the FEV Group in Aachen. He will be the first Chairman of the new established Advisory Board.
The Advisory Board Powertrain and Energy Management consisting of high level members coming from different areas strives for analysing the interdisciplinary challenges and chances of the powertrain which will influence and affect the mobility of the future. In addition the Advisory Board will bring neutral facts and figures about mobilty and emission items to public. The Advisory Board will be increased by additional individuals for the future tasks.
